New App and Firmware Updates!

Hi Kuna Supporters,

Notice anything different? We just released some updates to your Kuna firmware, servers and apps. Here’s what’s new and improved:
 

Location-Based Dusk and Dawn Times

The newest version of the Kuna app asks you to set your location during setup. You only need to enter your city, or any city within 100 miles or so. This location is used to make your Kuna’s light scheduling the most configurable and accurate option available on the market. With the location information, your Kuna knows the precise dusk and dawn times for all 365 days of the year, while still being able to adapt and turn on if it gets dark a bit early.

Did you know that you can set your Kuna to turn on at dusk, off around when you go to sleep, and then turn on whenever motion is detected for the rest of the night? Check out our help center article on  light scheduling to learn more.

Server Response Time

Your apps just got a whole lot snappier. You should notice quicker load times for camera recordings and thumbnails as well as quicker response times for when you interact with your Kuna. These changes will not affect the camera’s live view, but trust that we’re working on that!
